Guo Shoukang (郭寿康), Professor of Law and LL.D Supervisor of Renmin University of China, Vice President of WTO Academy under CLS, Special Consultant of Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the PRC, Arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Committee and WIPO, Part-time Professor in Copyrights of UNESCO, Director of Academic Committee of CSIPR and research fellow of CSIPR. In addition, he is Consultant of the following institutes: Intellectual Property Rights Law Academy under CLS, China Copyright Society, China International Law Society, China International Economic Law Society, and China Branch of AIPPI. He graduated from Law Department (1948) and Jurisprudence Institute (1952) of Peking University. He has studied in Columbia University, Georgetown University, Law School of California University-Los Angeles, and German Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law. His major research books include Intellectual Property Rights Law of China (English Version), International Copyright Law and Practice (Co-worked with P.Geller, English Version), International Copyrights and Neighboring Rights (Chief Editor: S. Stewart, English Version), On Border Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (Chief Editor: Michael Blakeney, English Version) and international Trade Law (Co-Author). He is also the chief editors of the following textbooks: Intellectual Property Rights Law, International Economic Law, and International Economic & Trade Arbitration Law.
Wu Handong (吴汉东), Doctor of Law, Professor, President and LL.D Supervisor of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Member of Social Sciences Committee under the Ministry of Education, Vice-Director of Legal Education Guiding Committee under the Ministry of Education, Vice President of Intellectual Property Rights Law Academy under CLS, Vice President of Civil Law Academy under CLS, Part-time Professor and LL.D Supervisor of Renmin University of China, Part-time Professor of Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, Nanjing Normal University, and Ji’nan University, Director and research fellow of CSIPR, Vice-Director of Academic Committee of CSIPR. Professor Wu enjoys special governmental allowance of State Council. He is also one of the distinguished middle-aged specialists in Hubei Province and a member of the State Million-Talented-People Project. Under his leadership, more than 10 key research projects at state, ministerial or provincial levels have been accomplished. He has published 9 academic works including Research on Copyright Fair Use, Research on Copyright of Western Counties, Copyright Comparisons among Different Regions in China, Research on Intangible Property, IPR Law towards Intellectual Economy Era, etc. He is the chief editors of the following 5 textbooks for undergraduate or graduate law students, which are listed in the following textbooks series: Law Textbooks of Higher Education, Unified Law Textbooks of Main Law Courses under Ministry of Justice, the ‘Tenth Five-Year’ Planning Textbooks at State Level, National Self-Taught Textbooks, and the National ‘Tenth Five-Year’ Key Publications Plan-Law Graduates’ Reference Books for 21st Century. In addition, he has more than 80 theses published in Journal of China Social Sciences, China Legal Science, CASS Journal of Law. Many of them have received more than 10 honors, among them are, National Prize for the First Excellent Doctorate Dissertation, the First Prize for Excellent Legal Textbooks and Excellent Legal Research Achievements under Ministry of Justice, the First Prize for Excellent Social Sciences Achievements in Hubei Province (Governmental Prize) and the Prize for Excellent Academic Works of Universities under Ministry of Education.

Peng Xuelong(彭学龙), is a research fellow and deputy director of the Center for Studies of Intellectual Property Rights(CSIPR)which was authorized as the Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences in Universities by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China on Nov. 26, 2004, at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law(ZNUEL) in Wuhan, China. He also serves as a full Professor and Master’s Tutor in the Law School and Intellectual Property Institute of ZNUEL. Before joining in ZNUEL, Professor PENG taught at Faculty of Law of Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) and was one of the main founders of WUT’s Intellectual Property Institute.
From September 1986 to June 1990, Mr. PENG studied in Zhejiang University and was conferred the Bachelor’s degree of Engineering. After graduation, he worked as an engineer in Gezhouba Group Corporation of Hydro-Electric Construction. In September 1999, he began to study law in ZNUEL and received Master Degree in 2002. In September, 2003, Mr. PENG came back to the Law School of ZNUEL and studied Intellectual Property under the supervision of Professor WU Handong who is among the top leading scholars in China, President of ZNUEL and President of Intellectual Property Rights Law Academy under China Law Society. In June 2006, Professor PENG got Doctoral Degree majoring in Civil and Commercial Law.
After years of hard working, Professor PENG has become a leading young expert in the discipline of intellectual property law in China. He has fulfilled several key programs of the State Intellectual Property Organization of China as the person in charge, and joined and played significant role in some Programs of China’s National Philosophy and Social Science Foundation. He writes and lectures extensively on trademark law, digital copyright, trade secrets law, information technology, civil law and the transition of the legal systems in China. As a prolific scholar, he is the author of one book and more than 60 law review articles, essays and book chapters. His doctoral dissertation Semiotic Analysis of Trademark Law (published by Law Press, Beijing China) is among the Excellent Doctoral Dissertations in Huber Province and has won “Hundred Excellent Doctoral Dissertations in China” Nomination Award. In July 2007, Professor PENG was awarded as “Outstanding Young Scholar” for his academic achievements by the Law School of ZNUEL.
